Any adult role involving approaching, interviewing, surveying, filming or otherwise directly engaging teenagers on behalf of Tamworth Teens requires appropriate approval and child-safety controls. As a Tamworth Teens safety policy, adult volunteers must have a current NSW WWCC clearance verified before direct youth-contact work begins. This is deliberately stricter than the minimum rule that can apply to some NSW roles while an application is in progress.
Core boundaries
No private messaging of individual young people through personal accounts for project purposes. No publishing identifiable minors without the required consent and approval. No unauthorised fundraising in the Tamworth Teens name.
Community support is not the same as charity registration.
Tamworth Teens is not represented as a registered charity or deductible gift recipient (DGR), and community contributions are not represented as tax deductible.
