Tamworth Teens 12–17 is an independent youth advocacy and engagement initiative. This website is designed to minimise the personal information collected from young people.
Survey information we collect
The built-in surveys collect the answers you choose to provide. Your age is required so responses can be limited to the intended 12–17 age group. The detailed survey can also collect a general suburb or area if you choose to provide it.
The surveys do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, school or street address. Please do not include those details, an exact location, social-media username or other information that could identify you or another young person in written answers.
Where responses are stored
Survey responses are sent directly to a Cloudflare Worker used by this website and stored in a Cloudflare D1 database controlled for the Tamworth Teens project. Tamworth Teens does not deliberately save the respondent's IP address, browser fingerprint, advertising identifier or user-agent string in the survey-response database.
Cloudflare may separately process technical network, security and service information as part of hosting and protecting the website. That processing is governed by Cloudflare's own service and privacy arrangements.
Why responses are collected
Responses may be used to understand what young people say is missing, identify barriers such as cost or transport, compare patterns by age or general area, inform research and advocacy, develop practical proposals, and report overall findings to the community, businesses, services or decision-makers.
How findings may be published
Public reporting should use aggregate, summary or de-identified information. A raw individual response should not be published with information that identifies a young person. Free-text responses may be quoted only where the project reasonably considers the wording does not identify the respondent or another person.
Access to raw responses
Raw survey responses are intended to be restricted to authorised project administration. They are not provided to sponsors, businesses, Tamworth Regional Council or other organisations as a list of individual respondents.
Retention
Raw individual responses will be reviewed at least annually and are intended to be deleted when no longer reasonably needed for the survey, research, accountability or lawful record-keeping purpose. As a working retention rule, raw responses should ordinarily be removed within 24 months of submission unless there is a documented reason to retain them longer. De-identified aggregate findings may be retained for longer so changes over time can be compared.
Browser storage and analytics
The website uses local browser storage only to remember whether you acknowledged the privacy notice. No Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, Google Analytics or optional behavioural analytics are included in this package.
Email and social media
If you contact the project by email or social media, those services may collect account and technical information under their own policies. Do not send sensitive personal information unless it is genuinely necessary.
Questions, corrections or deletion requests
If you believe you accidentally included identifying information in a survey response, contact tamworthteens12to17@gmail.com. Provide only enough information to help locate the response. Because the surveys are deliberately not linked to names or contact details, it may not always be possible to identify which anonymous response is yours.
