Scope
Tamworth Teens 12–17 engages with youth views but is not a counselling, crisis, child-protection or emergency service.
Privacy boundaries
Young people should not post or send their home address, school, phone number, exact routine, private health information or other sensitive identifying information through public comments or ordinary project channels.
Adult volunteer contact
Adult roles involving approaching, surveying, interviewing, filming or otherwise directly engaging teenagers require approval, role boundaries and appropriate child-safety controls. Tamworth Teens policy requires an adult volunteer to have a current NSW WWCC clearance verified before direct youth-contact work begins. This project policy is stricter than the minimum rule that may allow some NSW child-related workers to commence while an application is in progress.
Private contact
Adult volunteers must not privately contact individual young people through personal accounts for project purposes.
Images and identifiable minors
Identifiable images of minors must not be published through Tamworth Teens without the required consent and approval process.
Urgent safety matters
If a young person is in immediate danger, use the appropriate emergency or professional support channel rather than relying on this website or social media.
WWCC administration
If a Tamworth Teens role is child-related work under NSW law, the project must also comply with the organisation/employer obligations that apply to that role, including identifying relevant roles, registration where required, online verification and record keeping. A WWCC is one safeguard and does not replace supervision, consent, role boundaries or other child-safe practices.
