Independent community-led initiative · Not operated by or affiliated with Tamworth Regional Council
About

An independent project focused on 12–17-year-olds.

Tamworth Teens 12–17 exists to make teen views easier to hear, easier to evidence and harder to dismiss as guesswork.

What we do

Youth voice plus practical research.

The project gathers feedback, researches the local picture, shares findings in plain language and explores realistic ways local organisations, businesses and decision-makers could respond.

Teen surveys and social questions
Local activity and access research
Comparisons with other councils and regional areas
Public information, proposals and advocacy

What this project is not

It is not a counselling, crisis, medical, legal, child-protection or emergency service. It is not an official Tamworth Regional Council project. It does not speak on behalf of every teenager in Tamworth.

Publication of an idea does not mean Council, a school, a business or another organisation has endorsed or agreed to deliver it.

How we work

Teen-specific, evidence-aware and realistic.

Teen-specific

12-year-olds and 17-year-olds are not identical, and broad “youth” categories can hide meaningful differences.

Independent

We can support good work and still question gaps, delays, evidence or priorities.

Realistic

We focus on ideas that can plausibly be delivered, funded, piloted or advocated for.
